God is Love
God doesn’t just show love. He is love. His love isn’t something we earn. It is never uncertain or dependent on our faithfulness. It pursues those who wander, meets us with compassion, and reveals itself most fully in the sacrifice of Jesus, His son.
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:10
